VESSEL - SAILING YACHT REPAIRS AND MAINTENANCE

For many years Latitud 42º Charters has been dedicated to the reparation of ships, be it structural repairs to a hurricane-struck yacht or repairs to individual vessel parts. At times a ship must be structurally rebuilt practically in its entirety, due to simple everyday use throughout many years. If the vessel is worth the effort, an entire rebuild may be of interest, allowing the return to sailing in a practically new boat.

We work in close collaboration with Marc Tormo, specialist in composite and carbon materials and vacuum techniques. A long experience with important regata yachts are testimony to the quality of work.

Examples of other types of work realized include hull modifications to better the vessels' rating or further modifications to the deck.

We also offer repairs and modifications to normal vessels: one of our best-selling products is the "jupette". Sometimes it may be necessary to remove the keel to clean the bolts or eliminate unwanted water tracks, or simply to modify chests, add prow propellors, improve anchor shafts and other anchorage systems.

Many times, whilst realizing long-term work on a vessel, it is worthwhile sanding the hull to give it a preventative osmosis treatment and in the process dry out the fibre properly: improve and care for the vessel.

We are also specialized in seeking out wrecked vessels in order to repair them and, in doing so, achieve good quality yet economic boats. Such vessels may be found here as well as in America and, following an initial repair, be brought to Spain to finish the alterations.
